OsTarot (“we”, “our”, or “us”) operates the OsTarot – Tarot Card Readings mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our App. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.



1. Information We Collect



A. Account Information


If you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (stored in hashed form). This is used to save your token balance, purchase history, and unlocked features across sessions and devices.



B. Automatically Collected Information


When you use the App, certain information may be collected automatically, including:



  • Device information (model, operating system version)

  • IP address

  • App usage data (screens viewed, actions taken)

  • Crash logs and diagnostics

  • Advertising identifiers (such as Google Advertising ID)


This data is collected primarily through Google AdMob and other third-party services to provide ads and improve the App.



C. Reading Content


When you request a tarot reading, your question or prompt and the selected card(s) are sent to OpenAI's API to generate a personalized narrative interpretation. This content is processed to generate your reading and is not used by us for any purpose beyond delivering that reading.



D. Purchase Information


When you purchase token bundles or other in-app products, purchase records (product ID, transaction ID, and purchase timestamp) are processed through Google Play Billing and stored to maintain your token balance. We do not collect or store your payment card details — these are handled entirely by Google Play.



2. Advertising and AdMob


Our App uses Google AdMob to display ads.


AdMob may automatically collect:



  • Advertising ID

  • Device information

  • Approximate location (non-GPS)

  • App interactions

  • Diagnostic data


AdMob may use this data to serve personalized or non-personalized ads, detect fraud and abuse, and measure ad performance.


Opting Out of Personalized Ads:

Users can opt out of personalized advertising by purchase of Ad Free Add On in app.



3. GDPR & UMP Consent (EU/EEA Users)


If you are located in the European Union or EEA, the App uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to request consent for personalized and non-personalized ads and related data processing. You may update your consent choices through the App where provided.



4. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)


If you are a California resident, you have the right to:



  • Request to know what personal information is collected

  • Request deletion of your personal information

  • Opt-out of the sale or sharing of personal information


We do not sell personal data for monetary gain. Third-party ad networks (such as AdMob) may use information for advertising purposes; contact them directly if you wish to exercise certain rights regarding third-party data.



5. Children's Privacy


This App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.



6. Third-Party Service Providers


The App may use third-party services such as:



  • Google AdMob

  • Google Play Billing

  • OpenAI (for generating reading narratives)

  • Google Firebase / Analytics (optional)

  • Crash reporting services (optional)


These services have their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review their terms and privacy notices.



7. Data Retention


We retain collected data only as long as necessary to provide and improve the App, comply with legal obligations, and support analytics and ad serving. AdMob and other third-party services determine their own retention periods.



8. Account and Data Deletion


You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing gapwarecustomsoftware@gmail.com with the subject line “OsTarot Account Deletion” from the email address associated with your account. We will process deletion requests within 30 days. Note that some information may be retained where required for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.



9. Security


We use industry-standard measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.



10. Changes to This Privacy Policy


We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted within the App or on our website with a new “Last updated” date.
